Nothing inspires like success

Winding Rivers Arts & Performance Society would like to thank the Community for coming out to support their latest productions in March. The play Cinderella, Cinderella and the last Dinner Concert with the amazing Steve Dawson were both very well attended. It’s been a busy time for the more than 20 volunteers and Board who will soon bring to you ‘Music In The Park’ scheduled to be held at Ashcroft’s Heritage Place Park June through August on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month.

The ‘Euphorics’ a capella singers take to the stage on Wednesday, March 30 at 7:30 pm in Lillooet’s Masonic Hall. Individually, the members of this joyous, energetic West Coast quartet are hard working, professional and powerful lead singers and performers; put them together, and you have an outstanding harmony-filled experience not to be missed. To appreciate Ambre McLean is to see her perform live. Her piano work is a bit funky, yet haunting. Her breathy voice is ethereal and mesmerizing, she truly is a decadent pleasure captured on the stage. McLean’s rich vocal styling’s have often been compared to Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple and Tori Amos. She’ll dazzle you on piano or guitar a little bit blues ‘n jazz, a little bit pop and all soul.

Gabrielle Papillon writes catchy indie folk/acoustic pop tunes with carefully chosen, thoughtful lyrics.“Harrowing in its honesty and heartbreaking in its hope,” Gabrielle’s music combines smooth, soulful singing and a guitar style that alternates between intricate finger picking and Carter Style strumming.
