Songwriter Gals sing at Ashcroft Bakery

Ashcroft Bakery & Coffee shop presents Gabrielle Papillon (folk) & Ambre McLean (pop/blues). The  women are on a Canada-wide tour and will perform in Ashcroft on Thursday, March 31 at 7:30 pm.

Influenced by guitar slinging troubadours such as Ani Difranco, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon, Montrealer Gabrielle Papillon’s music is often about a feeling. Her muse is the amalgamation of people in her life, or an imaginary scenario. Above all she loves the journey of a song.

Guelph Singer-songwriter Ambre McLean’s lyrics pour out to her listeners, as if she is speaking directly to them. McLean creates  harmonic landscapes. Her original music is a hybrid of jazz, folk, blues and pop, is directing her own rising star. Pay what you can, at the door.

Coffee and dessert available. For more info call 250-453-9212.   ‘
