The Creston and District Public Library will present the documentary film, Awakening the Skeena, on March 24.
Beginning at the very birthplace of the sacred Skeena River, through a raw and unspoiled landscape few have ever seen, a determined resident, Ali Howard, embarks on a remarkable journey to save the watershed from development that threatens a fragile ecosystem and a way of life that depends on it.
Admission is free to the 80-minute film, which starts at 2 p.m.
