If you’ve not attended a Blossom Valley Singers concert recently, you’re in for a treat — if you can get tickets! With the April 11 and 12 event just a short time away, and tickets in hot demand, our recommendation is that you immediately contact a choir member, or pick some up — there is no guarantee there will be any left at the door.
This spring tea and concert is a salute to the wonderful Broadway musical tunes that have wowed and entertained generations of fans. From the ragtime feel of “Don’t Nobody Bring Me No Bad News” (from The Wiz) to the swing of Lullaby of Broadway from the same-name musical, the music will inspire, rejuvenate, energize and uplift you. Songs from Cats, Watch Your Step, Seussical the Musical, Hair, Carousel, Fiddler on the Roof, Funny Girl and more could have you dancing in in the aisles — if you can get around those men in aprons. Oh, did we spoil the surprise?
With appearances by the Key of She, Blossom Valley Singers male quartet, Bryan Daybell, Marlene Nash and Valley Voices (the Creston children’s choir), you’d be sorry to miss this event. And it’s for a great cause, since it supports the high school bursary. Why not get your tickets now?
Tickets are $15 each for adults, and $8 for youth 12 and under, available at Creative Fix or Black Bear Books.
