Abbotsford’s Travis Rankin will be among the members of Cupla at the release of their debut CD “Letters Home” this Saturday at the Troubadour Club in Langley, at 20299 Industrial Ave.
Their first single, “I’m going,” was available for download Nov. 1 on iTunes. Shortly after, the band came in fourth on CFOX’s Band Of The Month chart.
They sound like an old fashioned rock band, with a heart, the band says, with an Irish influence as well.
Twin brothers Bobby and Billy McAloney are third-generation Canadians, but have strong Celtic roots, demonstrated with the Irish name Cupla.
Other members include Billy’s wife Trish on vocals, Ken Li on lead guitar and Rankin on bass.
The show happens Nov. 26 at 8:00 p.m., where Cupla will join a line up including The Niche, Whisky Jack and Kristen Karma.
