Plan to join the Comox Valley Concert Band on May 14 for a concert entitled Let Me Entertain You.
This concert is brought to you by Courtenay Recreation’s 55 or better Evergreen Club. You’ll recognize many tunes from the stage, screen, television and radio.
This concert represents the last 100 years or more.
Many classic stories like Oliver Twist and Don Quixote have been used by composers and lyricists as the basis for new musicals and characters, and what have become well-known songs. Musical director Denise Marquette directs the band through a fun and familiar Mother’s Day Celebration of Entertainment.

Everyone is welcome for just $5 (children 12 and under free.) The doors open at 1:30 p.m., and the concert starts at 2 p.m. The concert takes place in the upstairs Conference Hall of the Florence Filberg Centre in Courtenay. Advance tickets are available at Courtenay Recreation’s Filberg office or at the door.
