Downtown Penticton will be bumping with music in Main Street’s 400 block this evening, with the Royal LePage Locations West Realty Street Dance kicking off at 6 p.m.
That will include a performance by Beat The Streets, a break dancing and tap dancing troupe out of Australia.
According to the Downtown Penticton Association, Beat the Streets provides “a unique, exciting performance presenting acrobatics, dance and comedy.”
“Their performance is a showcase of thrilling breakdancing, acrobatic flipping, rhythmic tap dancing and comedy with audience interactivity.”
Following Beat the Streets, West Hammock will be playing from their 2016 debut EP Wanderlost.
The band plays a mix of indie-rock and pop, which it will be expanding on with its first full-length album, which is recording this year.
Thursday’s show is part of the Rock the Sun music series put on by the DPA, which largely features free shows in Gyro Park’s bandshell.
