This weekend sees the return of the biblical epic with Academy Award-winner Russell Crowe starring as Noah, chronicling, in big budget style, the incredible story of the man and the extremes of building the ark to protect not only his family but world’s creatures from the coming flood.
Acclaimed director Darren Aronofsky (The Wrestler, Black Swan) goes to extremes himself with huge sets and extensive special effects as well as a strong cast including Oscar-winners Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Hopkins plus Harry Potter’s Emma Watson and Percy Jackson’s Logan Lerman.

The Grand Budapest Hotel uses director Wes Anderson’s (Moonrise Kingdom, The Darjeeling Limited) unique visual style to tell the story of M. Gustave, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.
The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune.
The all-star cast includes Ralph Fiennes, F. Murray Abraham, Bill Murray, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Jude Law, Harvey Keitel, Edward Norton, Saoirse Ronan, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton and Owen Wilson.
Although Hayao Miyazaki is not well-known in North America, he is one of Japan’s most acclaimed filmmakers and has been compared to Walt Disney and Steven Spielberg. He is best known for the animated films Princess Mononoke and the Academy Award-winning Spirited Away. His latest and possibly final movie (he is retiring) is the Academy Award-nominated The Wind Rises, an animated story set in the early 1900s about a young man who dreams of flying and designing beautiful airplanes.
Canadian comedian and actor Brent Butt (Corner Gas) serves as both writer and star of No Clue in which he plays a low-level advertising salesman who is mistaken for a private eye by a gorgeous blonde. He pretends to be the PI she wants him to be and offers to find her missing brother, but when the job turns violent, he realizes he is in way over his head.
Filmed in Vancouver, No Clue stars Am y Smart (Road Trip) and David Koechner (Anchorman).
