Intrigued?

Diner en Blanc is a magical experience that began in perhaps the chicest city in the world, Paris, some 25 years ago. It is a celebration of old-world elegance that Jay Gatsby would have adored.

The original founder meant for this unique event to feel like a dream—the dinner party pops up in the middle of a public place and then disappears without a trace, like magic.

Participants are to pack a three-course meal complete with white china and silverware, along with their own foldable chairs, table and table linens.

Let your imagination run wild with the menu planning. Last year saw lobster velouté poured from a warming thermos, an amazing cheese course on a tiered plate complete with grapes and strawberries, quinoa salads, breads and crème brulé for dessert.  Many couples shared the menu planning with each preparing an individual course and dining family style.

But if you don’t feel like cooking, you will have an option to order from Basket Case Picnics.

Dîner en Blanc .events are now held in 35 cities and 23 countries around the world.

The Okanagan event is the smallest of the cities but with a background of award winning wine and a culinary destination, it’s a natural to be part of this unique experience.

There is still time to sign up. Vite! Vite! Visit www.okanagandinerenblanc.info as space is limited.
