Gatzke Orchard’s GO Foodism dinner series is launching for a second season.

Award winning B.C. chefs are scheduled to prepare four-course dinners at the orchard overlooking Kalamalka Lake.

Visitors can also engage with beverage purveyors and farmers from around B.C.

“GO Foodism! was a seven-year dream, with many different names but always the same concept,” said orchard owner Alan Gatzke. “This concept finally became a successful reality in 2014, with great praise and popularity from our patrons. We are honoured to welcome some of the most prestigious culinary creatives to our dream in 2015.”

The popular culinary event showcases highly skilled local chefs in an interactive and educational experience for patrons.

Before their meal, guests will explore the property alongside those who raised the crops, and can sample beverages from handpicked purveyors from across the Okanagan.

The event culminates with a signature meal, featuring the farmers and chefs who contributed to the feast, creating a well rounded experience for guests to increase their awareness of the benefits of growing and eating local foods.

Chefs expected to partake in the event are former Vernon resident and Table 24 executive chef David Colombe, Okanagan College’s culinary arts manager Bernard Casavant and fellow instructor Geoffrey Couper, Rod Butters, owner of Kelowna’s RauDZ Regional Table,  and Westcoast Resorts executive chef Glenn Gatzke.

GO Foodism! runs on selected Sundays of the  month starting Aug. 9 until Oct. 4. Tickets are available online at www.gatzkeorchard.com and at the Gatzke Orchard fruit stand on Pelmewash Parkway.
