Drumming for peace

Canada Day may have passed for this year, but the All Canadian Simultaneous Drumming Celebration is continuing the party, traveling from community to community and engaging in drumming sessions, including a stop in Penticton

The drumming session will take place outside Penticton City Hall today (Aug. 20) sometime between 12:15 and 12:45 p.m.

The group’s mandate is “celebrating Canada Day through simultaneous national drumming to promote diversity, harmony, and peace for a better world.” The inclusive, multicultural event is organized by a non-profit organization primarily formed by the Chinese-Canadian community.
