This week, you have the chance to hear some of the most accomplished jazz musicians in our area.
Jeff Drummond always wows his audience and this Thursday offers you the opportunity to hear just how accomplished he is as he appears in his own quartet when the Georgia Straight Jazz Society presents four impressive musicians, with international performance credentials, on the Elks’ stage at 7:30 this Thursday.
This is JDQ’s much anticipated performance back at the Elks’ after two formidable appearances last season. Jeff is joined by Dan Craven, tenor saxophone; Aaron Amar, drums, and John Hyde, bass.
These guys have worked across Canada and around the world: and we’re the lucky folk that reap the benefit of hearing them play on their own doorstep — yet one more piece of the musical legacy we’re so fortunate to enjoy in this region.
So come on down and experience live music with other jazz aficionados in a warm club atmosphere this Thursday when Jeff is guaranteed to entertain you with his broad musical palette and many years of experience as the quartet plays choice standards, contemporary jazz as well as some of his own original pieces.
Remember: Live Jazz Lives in Comox Valley at the Elks’ on Sixth Street every Thursday evening between September and June.
