Christmas in the Valley happens this weekend at the Alberni Athletic Hall.
Arguably the Alberni Valley’s biggest craft fair, Christmas in the Valley features more than 50 tables and many more artists and crafters. Visitors will see an array of artwork, handmade soaps and bath products, paper crafts, woodwork, candles, photography and art cards.
Many new vendors plus lots of annual favorites will be there to offer a selection of jewellery, festive floral arrangements, leatherwork, walking sticks and much more.
In addition to the booths, there will be a colouring contest for kids, a Make-n-Take craft table, painting demonstrations, choirs, and the Grinch, Mickey, Mini, Sponge Bob and Dora will be there too.
Santa will be there for photo ops and with a donation to the Port Alberni Kinsmen Foundation you can bring your camera and snap a picture of you favourite little one.
Santa will be there Friday, Nov. 9 from 5-7 pm, Saturday, Nov. 10 from 12-2 pm and Sunday, Nov. 11 from 1-4 pm.
Admission is free but don’t forget to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Bread of Life, the Port Alberni Shelter, or the SPCA.
