Music, dance and art students of the Fine Arts Community Explorations in the Shuswap (FACES) program, operating under the umbrella of the Arts Council for the South Shuswap, will share their work with the public this Sunday. The FACES year-end recital will take place on Sunday, May 15 on the Carlin Hall stage.
Music students will share their work from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. followed by a half-hour presentation by The Coppertones, our local adult a capella choir. Together with their sister choirs from Kamloops and Vernon, they form a 35 piece choir. They will share the latest songs from their repertoire including Viva La Vida, Teach Your Children, Eleanor Rigby and others.
After a half-hour intermission, the FACES dance students will present their program, sharing their talents in ballet, jazz, modern/lyrical, hip hop and musical theatre.
The evening’s celebration would not be complete without a showing of the art students’ best work this year.
Each music or dance program is $5 to attend (all seats) or to attend both the music and dance programs is $8. Tickets to attend the FACES recital can be arranged by calling 250-515-3276.
