The VIU Visual Arts program brings the enchanted Steampunk Gnome Village by the Sea to Milner Gardens & Woodland this summer. Come read their story, see their homes and the wonderful Steampunk bird sculptures the gnomes have created. On display now through to September.

From June 20 to 22 visitors to the gardens can also experience the Fourth Annual Fairy House Surprise. Do you believe in fairies? Did you know fairies wear Foxglove flowers as hats, gloves and petticoats?

Meander the sun dappled shadows of Milner Gardens on your self-guided search for areas that Fairy Houses may have magically appeared, in honour of International Fairy Day and Veronica Milner’s belief in fairies.

Milner Gardens is open daily through the summer from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Admission for adults is $11, students $6.50 and children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

Milner Gardens members, and current VIU students with a student card enter free. Relax with tea, scones or dessert from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Camellia Tea Room.

For more information visit viu.ca/milnergardens or phone 250-752-6153. The gardens are located at 2179 West Island Highway in Qualicum Beach.
