Fall Fair this Saturday

Bring exhibit entries to the hall on Aug. 29 from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

That’s the theme of this year’s Lighthouse Country Fall Fair taking place this Saturday, Aug. 30.

Kids get in free to the event which will have a petting zoo, pony rides, bouncy castle and organized games.

The pet and bike parade will be led by Farmer Vicky and Daisy the Cow at 10:15, the British Car Club will be on-site and a photographer will be taking photos and e-mailing them to people for free.

There’s also an indoor Artisan’s Hall and highland and ballroom dancers will entertain.

For music there will be two stages featuring celebrated musicians like Brodie Dawsom, Gerry Barnum, The Jagsters, Bruce and Judy Wing, Joanna Finch and more.

Raffle prizes include two WestJet tickets, two nights at the Fairmont Empress in Victoria and tickets to Butchart Gardens.

Don’t miss the exhibits with baking, jams, needlecraft, art, photography and much more.

The fair takes place at the Lighthouse Community Hall at 240 Lions Way in Qualicum Bay on Aug. 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entry is $5 for adults and free for children under 12. For more information visit www.communityclub.ca.
