Family Fest 2012 is Sunday, Feb. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Marie Sharpe elementary gymnasium.
There will be games, crafts, and puppets, face painting and balloons, storytelling, book-walk, book swap, door prizes and more. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Robyn Louis will be taking free photos for families with mascot Sir Read-A-lot the literacy moose.
Family Fest is presented by Success By 6, Cariboo Chilcotin Partners for Literacy and in co-operation with the Williams Lake Library, and various other community service organizations and businesses.
Verena Berger book signing
Lakecity author Verena Berger will launch her first book Kool-Aid and Cariboo Stew with a book signing at 7 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Open Book.
Stampede dinner, dance, auction
The 2012 Williams Lake Stampede dinner dance and auction is coming up Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Elks Hall.
There will be dancing to Clancy Wright and The Silverados.
Cocktails are at 5 p.m., dinner is at 6 p.m., the auction is at 7 p.m. and dancing starts at 9 p.m.
