St. George’s United Church announces the launch of its afternoon Jazz Vespers program Sunday, June 4. This is the first collaboration between local artists and St. George’s to bring together musical talent and spiritual reflection for the benefit of the community. The term “Vespers” is an ancient Latin term for regular evening prayer.The next one will likely be held mid-July, in time for Vancouver Island MusicFest. Admission is by donation, with all proceeds going to the artists. There will be refreshments to follow, and an opportunity to meet our musicians.
