Beach Flicks is wrapping up their season with the Oscar-nominated film Brooklyn on Friday, April 15.
“We’ve had a fantastic season,” said Luba Plotnikoff, Beach Flicks publicist, “and it’s wonderful that the community has really enjoyed the selections so far and we are very excited to wrap up the season with the hit film Brooklyn.”
Filmed in Montreal, Brooklyn is about an Irish immigrant who moves to Brooklyn in the 1950s, and she quickly falls into a romance with a local. But as he past catches up to her, she much choose between Ireland and the United States and the lives that exist within.
The audience will fall in love with the characters in this openhearted film about leaving home for a life where happiness is the goal but the challenges and obstacles make the success that much sweeter.
Brooklyn will be playing at Eaglecrest Golf Course on Friday. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the film starts at 7 p.m. sharp.
