Final concert of the season will be a party

The Mission Heritage Association is inviting the public to come to Fraser River Heritage Park on August 28 for the finale of the 25th season of the Envision Financial Twilight Concert Series.

The event is a Night of Thanks Corn Roast – grab a cob of free hot buttered corn and enjoy the sounds of The Mighty Fraser Big Band.

The concert runs from 7 to 8 p.m.

The Mighty Fraser Big Band is a group of 19 high-energy jazz musicians from across the Lower Mainland, who share a passion for keeping the music and sound of the Big Band era alive.

Their repertoire ranges from 1940s swing dance classics to modern big band arrangements in various styles. They have performed for all kinds of audiences, in venues from ski lodges to dance halls, churches to parks.

Donations of cash or non-perishable food items are welcome at this Full Cupboard Friday, in support of St Joseph’s Food Bank.
