Max Thomson plays the bored Egyptian royal who trades places with a lowly pauper. During a dress rehearsal on Monday, Virginia Tait refused to sell her fish to the disguised royal, giving him a lesson in the harsh realities of life.
The musical production is directed by Kait Tait and runs this week at Covenant Church on Stanley St. It will play tonight at 6 p.m. and tomorrow at 4 p.m.
