Singer Jackie Maksymiw is once again organizing the event in support of her 10-year-old niece, Julia, a bone cancer survivor with aspirations to become a performing artist.

The event is free of charge, however, donations will be accepted on admission and throughout the event. Cash, cheques and coins are happily accepted.

Some chairs will be provided, but visitors are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and tents as desired.

The goal is to raise $6,000 to pay for ongoing expenses that are not available through other organizations.

From Up Above will go, rain or shine, from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 21.

For more information or to make a donation contact Jackie Maksymiw at 604-897-0374 or email fortheloveofachild@gmail.com.
