Four bands set to Rock the Centre

Concert, featuring headliners Shinedown, on April 6 at Abbotsford Centre

A concert called Rock the Centre featuring the band Shinedown with guests In This Moment, One Bad Son and 10 Years takes place Friday, April 6 at Abbotsford Centre.

Shinedown have built their name on rock songs both brutal in power and epic in scope.

Now, with their latest album, Shinedown (Brent Smith, Barry Kerch, Eric Bass, and Zach Myers) veer away from that densely layered sonic palette and take a more direct approach.

Featuring lead single Cut the Cord — a blistering track that shot to #1 on Active Rock radio — Threat to Survival finds the multi-platinum-selling band achieving their most powerful sound ever and offering up their most important album to date.

Their new album, Attention Attention, is set to drop in May, featuring the new single Devil.

In This Moment is an American metal band from Los Angeles. Their debut album, Beautiful Tragedy, was released in 2007.

They followed up with The Dream, A Star-Crossed Wasteland, Blood and Black Widow. Their sixth album, Ritual, was released last summer.

One Bad Son released their new single Hurricane in February from their album Made in the Name of Rock N Roll.

Produced by Gavin Brown (Barenaked Ladies, Metric, Billy Talent), Hurricane is the follow-up to 2017 hit singles Raging Bull and Scream for Me.

One Bad Son has shared the stage with top talent, including Buckcherry, Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Three Days Grace and others.

Rounding out the lineup, 10 Years was formed in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1999. To date, they have released eight studio albums. Their most recent is (How to Live) As Ghosts, released last October.

The band is heavily influenced by the progressive metal band Tool.

The Abbotsford concert starts at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $29.50 to $59.50 and are available online at ticketmaster.ca, at the venue box office or by phone at 1-855-985-5000.
