Four-piece bluegrass and country talent at Concerts in the Park

Toe-tapping tunes at Kinnaird Park on Wednesday just another in a series of great shows.

Music lovers enjoyed another picture-perfect summer evening at Kinnaird Park on Wednesday, Aug. 7 in Castlegar.

The free, all-ages Concerts in the Park series has been a big hit with those looking for a relaxing, fun evening in the outdoors with great tunes.

Many people bring folding chairs and blankets to comfortably take in the musical talent, while others are content to hit the playground with younger children and appreciate the music from a slightly greater distance.

The four-piece ensemble of Brian Parfeniuk, Peter Pii and husband and wife duo, Jim and Barb Sinclair, played smooth bluegrass and country tunes (a number of which were from American country performer Tim O’Brien) this past Wednesday.

Next up, Wednesday, Aug. 14, is Dawn Graham: “Journey of Memories.” The shows start at 7 p.m. and if weather issues come up, the shows take place at the Community Complex, 2101 6th Avenue.
