Art Rave will again be offering free art activities for next weekend’s Solstice Arts Festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m, June 16 and 17, on the grounds of the Rollin Art Centre.
In addition to contributing free art activities, evening music and a dance, Art Rave have been working on creating a 12′ long, articulated Salmon luminary for Canada 150 celebrations at the Harbour Quay on July 1. The group have been meeting regularly for several weeks to create the large fish. It has a battery pack and Art Rave plans to “swim” the art piece through the evening crowds.
Kids can create their own small luminaries, lit with glow-sticks, during art activities at the Solstice Arts Festival.
