SURREY — A tire company celebrating its 60th anniversary will host a free drive-in movie night at Cloverdale Fairgrounds.
The Fountain Tire-sponsored event will be held on Monday, July 4 as part of a tour done in partnership with Fresh Air Cinema.
An estimated 300 vehicles can be parked at the event site, off 64th Avenue, said Maciek Jaworski, an account director with Alberta-based ad agency ZGM.
“We’ll have food trucks there, and pre-show entertainment,” Jaworski told the Now.
The movie will be “Kung Fu Panda 3,” according to a post on the website Picatic.com/Vancouver, where movie-goers can register for free tickets to the event.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
“It’s our way of saying thank you to all of our customers,” reads a post on the event website.
“You only need one ticket per vehicle. Pack in as many people as you have seat belts.
“Festivities start at 6:30 p.m., with our featured movie starting just after sunset at 9:35 p.m.
“We can only guarantee your spot if you show up early, so please be there at least one hour before the show begins.”
