Schizophonic is a nine-piece funk band created to perform original compositions and arrangements.
Based in Nanaimo, this group of Vancouver Island University music students create a powerful live performance with an intelligent mix of funk, fusion, progressive and jazz rock.
Featured performers for their Feb. 18 performance at the Bridge Lounge in Courtenay at 9 p.m. include Courtenay’s own Troy Lucas on flute and saxophone and Carson Fry on bass trombone.
The evening will open with performances by local artist Des Larson. Krista Lynn will also entertain you with her soulful originals and get you singing and dancing with some of her well-known covers of Sublime, Fleetwood Mac and more.
The Bridge is located at 90 Fifth St. in Courtenay. Tickets are $7 at the door.
