As we head into the beginning of June and with summer quickly approaching, the Creston Museum would like to announce that Kids’ Day will soon be here!

Bring your family down to the Creston Museum on June 9 to participate in the upcoming festivities. There are many exciting events planned for this year including races, contests and a variety of games that will offer everyone a chance to win a prize. The museum will be operating the old-fashioned store again this year, with prices of three candies for a penny, in the spirit of the old-fashioned theme. Admission, games, and schoolhouse lessons are all free, with a charge of $1 per person for ice cream and lemonade.

The Creston Valley Prospectors Club will be joining the festivities for part of the day to offer lessons in gold panning. The $10 fee covers the cost of the lesson, gold is guaranteed and, best of all, you get to keep the gold that you find.

As a friendly reminder, kids 12 and under must bring an adult with them. You are also welcome to bring a picnic lunch and eat it on the museum grounds. So please come on down and enjoy the day!
