Fibre art is alive and well at Gallery Vertigo.

The artist-run centre in the historic Winnipeg Union Bank building in downtown Vernon is once again hosting its annual fibre arts exhibition featuring local artists.

Fibre Fantasies will feature up to 40 works highlighting various textile collages, quilted wall hangings, fabric maps, pine needle baskets, urban knitting, and other unusual fibre manipulations.

If it’s fibre, it’s fair game.

The public is invited to attend the opening night reception Feb. 11 from  6 to 8 p.m. The exhibit runs from Feb. 8 to March 5 at Gallery Vertigo, #1-3001 31st St. (upstairs). Hours are Tuesday to Saturday, noon to 4 p.m.
