Valley chanteuse Cari Burdett, chosen as vocalist of the year at the recent Vancouver Island Music Awards, has a special treat in store for Valley music lovers as she performs Sunday, June 5 at 7 p.m. at the downstairs Duncan Showroom.
The show is the first of her Gracia a la Vida Summer Sessions. Burdett released her acclaimed album, Magnolia, in 2015, earning a nomination for World Music Album of the Year for 2015 from the Western Canada Music Association.
She is opening her exciting summer tour in her hometown and as a bonus, she’s releasing a new music video and sharing a new song the same night.
She is bringing some stellar musicians to join her for this special evening including percussionist Kelby McNayr, violinist Richard Moody, guitarist Marc Atkinson, bassist Sean Drabbit and Adrian Dolan on accordion and mandolin.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
