Getting Sirius about Canadian talent

Roots & Blues of offer big thank you in recognition of SiriusXM Canada’s involvement in the festival by presenting the popular Six Pack.

The Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival, taking place Aug. 17 to 19 at the Salmon Arm Fairgrounds, is offering a big thank you in recognition of SiriusXM Canada’s  involvement in the festival by presenting the SiriusXM Six Pack.

The company is a proud supporter of Canadian talent and helps artists increase their profile across Canada.

The SiriusXM Six Pack, which plays out the week prior to the festival, is a diverse selection of performers representing some of the country’s most recognized and rising artists currently working the Canadian music scene.

This year’s Six Pack artists are Alex Cuba, Blackie & the Rodeo Kings, Cold Specks, Cuff The Duke, Declan O’Donovan and Hollerado.

Check for individual performance times and stages of these outstanding artists on the festival website www.rootsandblues.ca .

SiriusXM’s support for Canadian musicians also takes to the water on Wednesday, Aug. 15 as music fans are invited to enjoy live performances on Shuswap Lake by the Shuffle Demons and Shred Kelly from atop a Waterway Genesis 75 houseboat.

These Live on the Lake satellite performances are a popular Summer in the Shuswap event, and free to everyone.

So head on down to the lake and relax on the beach, cruise on out in your own pleasure craft or just tread to the beat.

Live on the Lake is also supported by Waterway Houseboats.

Catch the Six Pack performers and a world of other artists, including Serena Ryder, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, the Trews, Five Alarm Funk and a whole lot more on six outdoor stages at the 20th Annual Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival.

The full lineup, camping and ticket information and purchase are available at www.rootsandblues.ca  or call 250-833-4096.
