Country singers Gord Bamford and Joe Nichols have announced they will be coming to Abbotsford on Thursday, April 14.
The show, part of the Certified Country Tour, takes place at 7:30 p.m. at Abbotsford Centre. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Dec. 11.
Bamford is a 22-time winner of the Canadian Country Music Association Awards, including the current Male Artist of the Year, while Nichols is a four-time Grammy nominee.
Bamford is one of Canada’s most decorated country artists, and his current smash single Don’t Let Her Be Gone is the top Canadian song on the charts this week.
The tour will support Bamford’s highly anticipated seven studio album with Sony Music Canada, available in March 2016.
As one of country’s most praised traditional artists, Nichols’ six number-one hits and eight top-10 singles make him a familiar voice to Canadian fans.
His latest single, Freaks Like Me, will be released to Canadian radio on Jan. 4.
In 2014, Nichols became one of only two artists to spend more than two weeks at number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart when Yeah held the top spot for three weeks.
Joining Bamford and Nichols on tour is MacKenzie Porter, winner of the 2011 Nashville North Star competition. She has previously opened for artists such as Kenny Chesney, Doc Walker and Trooper.
Tickets are available at ticketmaster.ca, the Abbotsford Centre box office or by phone at 1-855-985-5000.
