The Rollin Art Centre will be holding a garden work bee, Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m to noon and we need your help. Please bring your shovels, spades, gardening gloves, pruners, rakes and a friend. Please join us to help make our wonderful gardens beautiful for the upcoming season. Graduation, weddings and our summer “Teas on the Terrace” are just around the corner and we are in desperate need of help in our gardens.
Exhibit your art
The Rollin Art Centre will be taking your applications but only until this Saturday, April 30, to exhibit at the Rollin Art Centre gallery for the 2017 year. The Rollin Art Centre offers you a chance to have your very own art exhibit in the beautiful Rollin Art Centre gallery. Applications are available on line or at the Rollin.
Coastal Creations
A trio of local artists will be showcasing their works at the next Rollin Art Centre’s art exhibit, Coastal Creations. Linda Ross, Sandy Bouleau and Nona Hawley, will sure to excite you with their joint art exhibit featuring beautifully designed theatrical leather masks, photography and “wet on wet” method of oil paintings. This exhibit begins May 5 to May 27. Join us in the gallery, Saturday, May 7 for refreshments and to talk to the three amazing artists.
Days with the Arts
Don’t miss out in taking part with the Alberni Valley’s first cooperative arts festival. The Rollin Art Centre will be the sight of the days with the arts aspect of the Solstice Arts festival. If you are an artist, artisan or vendor and are interested in renting a table and displaying your work in this beautiful setting, applications are still available. The Solstice Arts Festival is a three-day event, June 17-19. Table rentals are only $80 for the entire weekend.
Giant book sale
Friday, May 13 from 6 8 p.m. and Saturday, May14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. will be our 12th annual giant book sale at Echo Community Centre. Thousands of Books, jigsaw puzzles and videos, we have it all. You may pay for your purchases by cash, Visa and MasterCard. Stack up for the summer holidays, camping trips and cozy evenings by the fire.
Solstice Arts fest
The Solstice Arts Festival, June 17th-19th, brings four Alberni Valley arts groups together under one umbrella for an unforgettable weekend of artists, art exhibits, music, theatrical performances and street entertainment fun for the whole family.
