Grant funding is now available for anybody organizing a small festival in the community.
Event organizers are being invited to apply for a maximum grant of $300 to help with event production costs.
The festival should be volunteer-driven, free to the public, in a public place and foster a sense of community spirit.
Applications for the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows parks and leisure services “Festival Grassroots Grant Funding” will be accepted year-round.
However, the allocation of funds is drawn down during the course of the year as money is awarded to groups.
