A spring show from the Nanaimo Chamber Orchestra offers the best of the classics.
Included in the program is Serenade for Strings, Op. 6, by Czech composer Josef Suk. The expressive work was penned by the young genius in 1892 when he was just 18 years old.
The orchestra will also be playing Concerto No. 3 in F by Scarlatti; Langsammer Satz by Webern; and Le Dernier Sommeil de la Vierge by Massenet.
Joining the orchestra as a guest performer is Oscar Clemotte, who will play the Guitar Concerto in D by Vivaldi.
The orchestra of 25 string players operates under the direction of Karl Rainer.
