Harpists chase the chill away

With early winter setting upon the Okanagan, a group of harpists are about to warm up the season with their annual concert.

The Crimson Rich Trio, featuring Rod Miller on accordion, Caroline Mackay on Celtic harp and Max DeBeeson on cello perform in concert with the Okanagan Harp Orchestra under Mackay’s direction at the Vernon Community Music School’s Carriage House Loft Saturday, Nov. 26  at 7 p.m.

With early winter setting upon the valley, a group of harpists are about to “Chase the Chill Away” with their annual concert.

The Crimson Rich Trio, featuring Caroline Mackay on Celtic harp, Max DeBeeson on cello and Rod Miller on accordion, play once again with the Okanagan Harp Orchestra under Mackay’s direction at the Vernon Community Music School’s Carriage House Loft Saturday, Nov. 26  at 7 p.m.

“Wintry and seasonal songs, with a touch of ice crystals, as well as classical favourites and rhythmic Latin heat will set your spine tingling,” said Mackay who teaches harp at the VCMS.

Tickets for the concert are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students, available from the VCMS at 250-545-4977 or at the door.
