Harrison Festival Society weekend workshops postponed

Poor weather forecasts have shelved the workshops for now

Due to rain in the weather forecast, the Harrison Festival Society has postponed their weekend workshops.

Acrylic artist Irene Eaves was scheduled to host an abstract painting course on Friday, August 21, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. outside Ranger Station Art Gallery; the Festival Society’s marketing and administrative coordinator Bryan Cutler said a three-hour painting workshop simply isn’t feasible with the possibility of rain.

Since the rain is forecasted throughout the weekend, the paper lantern workshop on Saturday, August 22, has also been postponed. The subsequent launch of the lanterns slated for Monday night will not be taking place either.

Cutler said at this time there are no future dates for the workshops picked out yet.
