A non-profit supporting refugees in Ukraine is holding a fundraising concert in Abbotsford next weekend.
The ‘Gifts of Hope’ fall concert and presentation, taking place Nov. 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Heritage Alliance Church (3440 Mt. Lehman Rd.), will raise money for HART (Humanitarian Air Response Teams), a Christian organization that helps impoverished people in Eastern Europe, particularly in Ukraine and Moldova.
According to HART, conflict with Russia in Eastern Ukraine has led to 1.5 million people being displaced.
The event begins with coffee and dessert at 6 p.m., followed by a presentation on the group’s work in Eastern Europe and performances from The Freedom Singers at 7 p.m.
Admission is free, however pre-registration is requested at www.hartevents.ca.
