The Harvest Festival at Tiger Lily Farm this Sunday marks the beginning of the Scarecrow Competition.

Build a scarecrow, eat some roasted corn and take a pony or tractor ride at this year’s Harvest Festival at Tiger Lily Farm this Sunday.

The event on September 22 kicks off the annual Scarecrow competition which people can make at home or at the farm.

Once completed, the scarecrows are placed throughout the wooded area of the farm and visitors can view them out while on a tractor ride around the property. People can vote for their favourite until October 13.

There is no fee to enter and there are prizes for everyone. Straw, string, clothing and other odds and sods will be provided at the farm on Sunday.

At the Harvest Festival this Sunday visitors can also have their faces painted, watch some horseback riding demonstrations and visit the animals.

All activities are included with the Barnyard Admission.

Tiger Lily Farm is open everyday until October 31, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Visit www.tigerlilyfarm.ca for more details.
