The Big Time Out 2012 hits the small but mighty village of Cumberland this weekend with eight incredible venues of world class music, dance, art and circus antics.

From alt rockers Black Mountain and boot-stomping Elliott Brood to the experimental folk of Morlove be prepared to have your musical mind blown! Don’t miss Island favourites Quoia and Rocky Mountain Rebel Music and be sure to explore the exciting beat-driven sounds at the all ages Pyramid Lounge with the Funk Hunters, Longwalkshortdock, Humans and an epic roster of DJs from across the West Coast!
Be seduced by acclaimed singer songwriter Wil, feel the Aussie soul of Aurora Jane and enjoy sultry guitarist and song crafter Bahamas. Or kick back with a pint of local brew at a village pub and listen to great local bands that offer ska, soul, bluegrass, rock, an open stage electric jam and much more.
For art and dance lovers, The Big Time Out offers galleries, street art projects, workshops, shadow puppets and performers from myriad circus arts traditions. Kids activities in the park, yoga, street barbecues, food and craft vendors, store specials in the village and other surprises await you.
Limited camping is available on site and can be booked online right now. Comox Lake is just a quick trip down the road where you can take a cool dip, wash off the dancing and start all over again.
