Concert should show just how versatile women's voices can be

NANAIMO — Vancouver’s Elektra Women’s Choir and artistic director Morna Edmundson are bringing a joyful concert that explores the breadth of repertoire written for women’s voices to Nanaimo on Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church.

The concert marks the ensemble’s 25th anniversary. The first half of the concert features works that showcase the choir’s lustrous sound in a wide-ranging selection of works from several eras.

The second half highlights Canadian composers.

Elektra in Concert celebrates the choir’s leading role in the development of women’s choral music.

 

Tickets are $20 and are available at The Quilted Duck, Barton Leier, Tom Lee Music, Salamander Books and the Mulberry Bush Bookstores.
