Highland Church (3130 McMillan Rd.) in Abbotsford presents the faith-based drama troupe Theatre of the Beat on Sunday, Nov. 20.
The troupe presents Forgiven/Forgotten and is hosted by the church, MCC BC and Trinity Western University.
Theatre of the Beat has gained a reputation as a social justice theatre troupe that addresses issues of crime and reintegration.
Written by Johnny Wideman, Forgiven/Forgotten follows the varying responses of a community that learns an ex-offender will be serving his parole in their midst.
The show is being staged in Abbotsford as part of a B.C. tour from Nov. 18 to 28. To date, it has been performed in theatres, universities, high schools, churches, community centres and prisons.
The Abbotsford show begins at 7 p.m., and there is no charge. The drama is 50 minutes, with about a 30-minute talk.
