Cool Arts is planning its fifth fundraising event, Hot Night for a Cool Cause, on Saturday July 19 from 6 to 9 p.m.
This annual event is a barbecue with live music by The Trips, and a silent auction in a wonderful private garden with an orchard and lakeview setting.
Each year the event has sold out to 120 guests including Cool Arts participants and their families as well as community members who have enjoyed the event and raised much-needed funds for Cool Arts.
“This is our major annual fundraiser,” says Shauna Oddleifson, Cool Arts president. “This event gives our artists the chance to celebrate what they have accomplished over the past year, as well as help raise funds and awareness for Cool Arts.”
Cool Arts’ vision is to create opportunities for their participants to make art, to take classes and learn, to be in a supportive fine arts environment, to exhibit or perform, and to be part of the larger arts community. Several of Cool Arts recent initiatives involve the larger community as well. This summer the group is busy creating Gaudi-inspired mosaics to be installed at the St.Paul Community Gardens. As a not-for-profit society and registered Canadian Charity, Cool Arts relies on donations, sponsorships and grants to continue its programming.
Tickets for this event are $35, with funds raised going towards Cool Arts regular programming. To purchase tickets, please contact us at info@coolarts.ca.
