The annual 108 Cabin Fever Bluegrass workshops happening this week will culminate in a concert in Williams Lake featuring performances by the internationally acclaimed instructors.
The concert happens at the Evangelical Free Church on Sunday, April 3 starting at 7 p.m.
Entertainers include the band Special Consensus, Jason and Pharis Romero, John Moore, Steve Spurgin, Jason Homey, Gene Bretecher, Keith Hill, Garry Stevenson, and Tim Tweedale.

Dance for high school band
The WLSS/CSS Band, Tour Band, and Jazz Band students are teaming up with the Cariboo Gold Dance Band to present an evening of Big Band Dance on Friday, April 8 at the Elks Hall, starting at 7 p.m.
The event is a fundraiser for the Williams Lake and Columneetza secondary band students to purchase new band equipment or provide travel opportunities for the bands, says high school band teacher Dena Baumann.

Magic of Ireland
The Magic of Ireland dance troup will be performing at the Gibraltar Room Thursday, April 7 with two new cast members.
Joining the show are award winner of the 2009 Roots/Traditional Recording of the Year, Troy MacGillivray and Canadian Grand Master Fiddle Champion of 2009/2010, Julie Fitzgerald.
Featured artists in the show include Thea award winning actor and designer with Toronto Irish Players, Jonathan Lynn and Kevin Kennedy.
Indoor Rodeo
The 21st annual Williams Lake Indoor Rodeo is coming up April 15-17 at the Cariboo Memorial Complex.
There will be special appearances by Miss Rodeo Canada Kezia Morrison and the lakecity’s Miss Rodeo Canada Princess Kirsten Braumandl. The Cariboo Cowgirls Drill Team will be the opening act.
Queen candidates announced
There are three candidates running for Stampede Queen this spring who will be introduced formally to Williams Lake City Council at the April 5 public meeting.
The candidates are Alexia Colton, Miss Cariboo Spurs Apparel and Tack; Bobi Bracewell, Miss C.C.C. Tourism; and Davana Mahon, Miss Macon Construction Ltd.
Cariboo Festival April 4-May 7
The month-long Cariboo Festival begins April 4 and wraps up with the Spotlight Performance, April 30 and the Honours Concert May 7.
Both concerts will be held at 7 p.m. at Cariboo Bethel Church.
The program outlining details for the band and instrumental, piano, vocal and choral creative writing sessions will soon be available.
The festival committee encourages people to come out and listen to the various disciplines and hear input from the adjudicators offered to the entrants.
