Spiritbar to host break-out EDM duo with special guest Mooves

Situated in the East end of Vancouver, Robbie Slade from Nelson and Peter Ricq from Montreal have been crafting music together since 2010. By blending each of their specific musical influences, HUMANS create indie-electronic music that also possesses a distinct darkness to it.

Their 2012 EP topped the Canadian electronic charts for six weeks and got them attention from publications like Exclaim!, XLR8R, Resident Advisor, and CBC Music. They’ve also been featured on HBO’s Entourage, CSI, and MTV.

Focusing on the performance ideals of modern greats like LCD Soundsystem or Jamie XX, HUMANS are able to impress audiophiles with their technical skills while still stirring up action on the dancefloor.

The duo’s sound has been called infectious, smartly crafted, and a force live. Produced by Nik Kozub (Shout Out Out Out Out), Noontide is a showcase of their innovative mix of heavy electronics with modern pop sensibilities. The album is carefully constructed, building upon the band’s restless aesthetic experimentation. In support of the record, the two-piece is bringing their kinetic live-show to stages across North America. See the full list of tour dates on page 3.

They recently released their debut full length album Noontide on February 24th via Hybridity and have since charted at #1 on Earshot’s electronic charts for three consecutive weeks and are currently at #2. Their video for “Tell Me” premiered on Billboard, you can watch the muppet versions of Peter and Robbie here: http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop-shop/6501901/humans-tell-me-exclusive-video-premiere

As well they premiered “Follow” via THUMP Canada, released a brand new video for the same track via Entertainment Weekly , and received rave reviews on IMPOSE for their track “Ennio”.
