Inaugural Fraser Valley Comedy Festival features two shows in Mission

One show is at the Stage on Oct. 20, the other is at the Clarke Theatre on Oct. 25

The inaugural Fraser Valley Comedy Festival is set to get underway.

The 10-date festival spanning from Langley to Hope begins Oct. 17, continues through Oct. 27, and will see some of the country’s top stand-ups, the cream of the Vancouver scene, and the best valley performers sharing stages from the intimate bar venues that regularly host Fraser Valley Comedy events to the largest theatres in the region.

The festival is excited to be producing two shows in Mission.

The first will be Saturday, Oct. 20 as Fraser Valley Comedy continues its partnership with The Stage in Mission.

Three national headliners, Patrick Maliha, Leland Klassen, and James Kennedy will be joining forces for the show.

On Oct. 25, the festival moves to the Clarke Theatre and features an all-star cast including Debra DiGiovanni (three-time winner as Best Female Stand-Up at the Canadian Comedy Awards and Last Comic Standing), Pete Zedlacher (Best Male Stand-Up, winner SiriusXM Canada’s Top Comic) and Ivan Decker (2018 Juno Award winner Best Comedy Album), Kristeen Von Hagen (2-time Best Female Stand-Up), Graham Clark (HBO’s Funny As Hell), and Fraser Valley Comedy favourite Lisa Person.

This show marks the first ever Mission appearances by DiGiovanni, Zedlacher, Decker and Von Hagen.
