Get ready for some foot-stomping good times at the Halloween Costume Dance at the Errington Hall.
This year, Fernie-based band Shred Kelly brings their banjo-infused indie folk rock to the event on Oct. 25. Shred Kelly recently won some national attention by earning a spot on the Green Couch Sessions/CBC Radio 3 ‘Tracks on Tracks’ train adventure.
“We thought they’d be the perfect band for the occasion,” said Valerie Dare, music co-ordinator at the Errington Hall.
This year does bring some changes to the annual costume dance. The event is now for all ages. As such, there will be no bar at the dance.
“We want to be as inclusive and family-friendly as possible, and try to ensure everyone has a safe Halloween,” Dare said.
The night kicks off at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. There will be an intermission part-way through the evening with free snacks.
Adult tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Cranky Dog Music, Heaven on Earth and the Errington Store. Youth ages 5-12 can buy their tickets for $5 at the door, and kids under 5 are free.
