A diverse mix of First Nations and Métis artisans are coming together this Saturday for a show and sale in Harrison Hot Springs.
The Indigenous Artisans Show and Sale runs Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. showcasing a great selection of wearable and collectable art works.
Featured artisans include: Sky Spirit Studio (totem poles, authored books, crystal, candles), Salish Expressions (original knitwear, felt hats, toques), All R Creations (silver jewelry and art), Charles Brown (Nlaka’pamux soapstone carving), Theresa Walker (pine needle jewelry, mixed media artist), Thunderhill Cedar (cedar bark cuff and rope bracelets, cedar hats, baskets), Spapium ‘Little Prairie’ Farm (various artisans, dolls, pottery, jewelry), Marilyn Dalton (accessories and beaded jewelry), Charlotte Kenequanas (Moccasins), Nancy Arcand (original art and artist representative), Frieda George (Salish weaving), and Jack McIntyre (Skuppah honey and wild berry preserves).
Plus, there will be a ‘learn to weave’ workshop where you can make a Thunderhill Cedar bark cuff bracelet ($20) or a cedar rope bracelet ($10).
There will also be a draw for a door prizes donated by the artisans.
Indigenous Artisans Show and Sale is in the Forum Ballroom at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa from 9 a.m to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12. Admission is free.
