An international film festival that celebrates getting out on the open water is stopping in Abbotsford for one night only.
The Reel Paddling Film Festival will be at the University of the Fraser Valley on Friday, March 14.
Films will feature gutsy white-water kayaking, sea canoeists exploring rugged coastlines, and stand-up paddlers floating along calmer waters. Environmental conservation will be a constant theme.
The festival is travelling all over Canada, the U.S., and into Europe in 2014.
The Abbotsford tour stop is sponsored by local businesses Western Canoeing & Kayaking, and Valhalla Pure Outfitters.
Tickets are $12 at the door or $10 in advance at Valhalla Pure. The show begins at 7 p.m. in UFV’s room B101.
