Intimate body of work to be exhibited

A series of intimate and evocative portraits, many of which highlight the hands or eyes, is being featured in a show by Chiarina Loggia.

“The Body Speaks,” primarily consisting of photopolymer gravure etchings on paper, focuses on communication and connection via human gesture and form, whether as individuals or people together.

The show opens Friday (May 20) at Collective Works Gallery, 1311 Gladstone Ave. An artist’s reception happens May 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. and the show runs through June 9. The gallery is open noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Visit www.collectiveworks.ca for details.
